A wood Apple tree is deciduous, thorny, and small to medium-sized which grows from 6 to 15 meters high has shallowly furrowed and grey bark. Spines are short, axillary, and straight. The fruit looks similar in appearance to the Bael fruit (Aegle marmelos). It contains a considerable amount of protein, carbohydrates, iron, fat, calcium, Vit-B & C, etc.
