Ixora is a genus of about 550 species of shrubs and small trees. Ixora is a popular flowering plant among gardeners because of its rounded shape, showy flowers, and attractive, glossy foliage. Ixora represents passion and increased sexuality. Ixora grows up to 200 cm (7 ft) in height. Ixora likes moist, but well-drained soil. It should be planted in rich, acidic soil because alkaline soil can result in yellow foliage.
