Bupleurum is a large genus of annual or perennial herbs or woody shrubs, with about 190 species.
The full size of its species may vary between a few cm to up to 3 m high.
The flowers are a yellowish-green color that sits in clusters of up to 12 florets. These clusters are then surrounded by large green, leaf-like petals.
Bupleurum is used for respiratory infections, including the flu (influenza), swine flu, the common cold, bronchitis, and pneumonia; and symptoms of these infections, including fever and cough.
